Installation requires moderate soldering experience. The process includes testing the console to verify proper operation, disassembling the console, desoldering the original power connector, precisely aligning and soldering the N64PWR board in its place, installing the included USB-C faceplate, and reassembling the console. The result is a clean, factory-style installation with no external power brick.

If you are looking for a modern power supply replacement, look no further than this kit. It is well made, sturdy, and extremely protective. The installation guide is foolproof and the customer service and troubleshooting is excellent. My N64 has multiple modifications that require more power than the stock power brick can provide (Retrogem, Bluetooth module, LED mod), and I needed a regulator that provided voltage protection and solid power no matter what I throw at it, and this can handle it all.

This has to be the best well thought out usb-c power mod for the Nintendo 64! It has all the power protections I need to make sure I don't accidentally destroy my n64. The shipping was fast and the board was packaged well. Inside the box was a QR code that takes you to a step by step guide. The guide was incredibly thorough and helped make sure I had a successful install. Overall, it was a challenging install for me but a fun modding experience!
